Greece in focus as European stocks fall


European stock markets opened lower on Monday, led by a drop in financial shares, as concerns mounted over Greece’s debt burden. Over the weekend, Greek Finance Minister George Papaconstantinou said the country, which is increasingly struggling to meet targets to cut its budget deficit, was mulling having a European bailout fund its debt if it continues to be unable to access capital markets next year.
