Brazilian stocks fell Wednesday afternoon, ahead of a likely decision by the central bank to raise the country’s benchmark interest rate.
Brazil’s equities and currency had also come under pressure during the session following the resignation late Tuesday of an influential top aide to Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff.
